Abacus

An abacus training program which starts with the usage of the beads, later make the child visualize the abacus in the mind and so the calculations mentally.

It provides opportunities to the child for exercising its brain by allowing a child to move beads of an imaginary abacus that it visualizes.

This process not only enhances ability of visualization, but also increases concentration, generates logics, develops photographic memory and helps in recall.

The mental arithmetic calculating abilities is an ‘add on’ to the program.

When a child works on abacus it uses both its hands to move the beads.

This activates both left and right brain thereby ensuring added intellect of kids.

Course contents:

Level module 1

• Introduction to Abacus
• Bead movement practice
• Calculations on + and -
• Using formulas ( 34 formulas)
• Single digit Addition and subtraction
• Visualize the number on abacus and try mental calculations
• Speed writing
• Flash card
• Listening Skills

Level module 2

• Calculations on + and - (2 and 3 digit numbers)
• Using formulas for 2 and 4 digit numbers (34 formulas)
• Single digit Addition and subtraction
• Visualize the number on abacus and try mental calculations
• Speed writing
• Flash card
• Listening Skills

Course Duration:

The course can be a 3 month long program, with weekly 2 session ( 1 hour Each). So totally it will be a 24 hour program.
